Giuseppe Reibaldi of the Moon Village Association on Lunar Cooperation

Giuseppe Reibaldi is President of the Moon Village Association (MVA), a non-governmental organization that brings together nations with and without space programs to work on lunar exploration. In this Astro Ben Podcast interview, host Ben Gamble talks with him about building a global Moon Village and what international lunar cooperation could look like.

Giuseppe explains how the MVA works with industry, academia and the public toward a shared vision of humanity's future on the Moon, and which countries and organizations are involved, including major space agencies. They cover International Moon Day, the Global Expert Group, sustainable lunar environment practices, the role of commercial companies, public perception of a lunar presence, and why the Moon should benefit everyone. Giuseppe also gives his prediction for human presence on the Moon in about 20 years.

If you follow Artemis, lunar policy or international space cooperation, this episode adds a global view. For more, hear astronaut Danny Olivas on IM-2 and the Moon or Yanni Barghouty on space radiation shielding, or browse the full Astro Ben Podcast archive.
