Dr Eiman Jahangir on Flying to Space with MoonDAO and Space Health

Dr Eiman Jahangir is an Associate Professor at Vanderbilt University and Director of the Sections of General Cardiology and Cardio-Oncology. He is also going to space with MoonDAO. In this episode of the Astro Ben Podcast, host Ben Gamble hears how a cardiologist became a future astronaut.

Eiman was once a finalist for NASA's Astronaut Candidate program. He later won a seat on a spaceflight through a MoonDAO raffle that drew more than 2,200 entrants, and he explains how that raffle worked, including its cryptocurrency side.

As a physician, he also looks at the health barriers to space tourism and the psychological effects of spaceflight, and he shares his analog astronaut experiences, the Blue Origin timeline and his personal goals for the trip.
